Founded in 2010, iMotion Data has focused exclusively on data storage partnering over the years with vendors such as EMC, EqualLogic, Compellent, Hitachi Data Systems, ExaGrid, Nutanix, Tegile Systems, Cohesity and Rubrik among others.
While each of these vendors have brought innovation to the market with their solutions, the fundamental storage architectures employed have been the same; either Scale-Up or Scale-Out distributed architectures based on the Shared Nothing concept invented by Google in 2003. VAST Data is our first vendor partner with an offering – the VAST DataStore (Universal Storage) based on an entirely new distributed storage architecture – DASE - Disaggregated Shared Nothing Architecture.
